Technology reminder

Here is your annual reminder about the technology you use in work:

  • It should be reliable and fit for purpose

  • It should enhance the relationships that you have, not get in the way of them

  • It should make your working life easier

  • It should be used appropriately

  • It’s not a tool to avoid a conversation that needs to be had

  • It should add measurable value to the organisation not just the company that sold it to you

  • Everyone should be trained on how to use it properly

  • Be curious on how you can use it differently

  • Make suggestions on how it could add extra value

  • Don’t let it distract you from the work that you need to do now

  • You’re in control of it, not the other way around; and most importantly

  • It should never invade your personal life - be clear on your boundaries.
