Holding your tongue

Just because someone's words prompt a thought in your head, it doesn't give you permission to immediately interrupt them to share it.

Talking over someone is disrespectful. It sends the message that what's in your head will always be more important than the words being spoken by others.

Learning when to hold your tongue means you're able to hear people out. It also means that when you do speak, your words are considered rather than reactive.

The best communicators aren't the ones who talk first. They're the ones who listen longest.

Forward this message to someone who needs to hear it!
