Hello!
I’m a global workplace culture expert sought after by organisations around the world who want to create and evolve vibrant, high-performance cultures.
I spent three decades as an employee. Leaving school in Liverpool, UK with three basic qualifications, I started on the bottom rung of the ladder in the private sector and finished three decades later as a senior director in the public sector, having led teams and change initiatives in the UK, New Zealand and Australia. My time as an employee provided me with many experiences and insights which now serve as the foundation of my practice.
My approach is unique and centres on my highly effective Culture Dial framework. I work closely with my clients to create experiences that generate the motivation to change. Using energy, humour, lived experience and empirical evidence, I make it impossible for people not to be inspired by the untapped potential of their culture.
I’ve written five best-selling books, one of which ‘The Project Book’ won Australian General Business Book of the Year. I’ve also won awards for my public speaking, have hosted three podcasts and have received many accolades from clients who have benefitted from the work we’ve done together.
I believe wholeheartedly that hard work and laughter are not mutually exclusive; this ethos permeates my work and the experiences I curate for my clients. I stay current because workplace culture never stands still. What worked five years ago doesn't work today, which means I'm constantly researching, testing, and refining approaches that get results.
When I'm not working with clients, you'll find me watching Everton (suffering, usually), ‘exploring’ Winchester's pubs or desperately trying to find someone who’ll do karaoke with me, where I’m always first up (‘Hey Jude’ by The Beatles, obviously), but never improving.
“I create energetic safe spaces where laughter is generated and what I teach is easy to put into practice.”
