Seasonal reviews

I’ve always thought of the end of one season i.e. Summer, Autumn, Winter, Spring, as the perfect review points.

These ‘seasonal reviews’ as I called them (sometimes the simplest name is the best one!) provide a perfect opportunity to capture what worked well, what the opportunities for improvement are, how the culture currently ‘feels’ and to gain clarity on the priorities for the next ‘season’.

The point isn't to relive the season just gone. As I've written before, last quarter's win is a moment, not a monument. A good review glances back, but spends most of its time facing the other way, towards the next 3 months.

Given the ever changing nature of our work, seasonal reviews are a great way to pause, take stock and refocus for the season ahead and the results that you’re looking to achieve.

With a month to go before season-end, now is the perfect time to schedule your review.
